are boards just quiet or am I just a pain in the #$&*??

Hi girls, just thought I would pop in and see if I could find/give a hug!! I have been having a heck of a time with my hormonal med's but am now on a H2 blocker and the patch and we'll see where we go from here... Friday's reaction to the Tri-est really freaked me out : no feeling from my feet to my knees, my fingers to my elbows and my lips and tongue were pins and needles and I was majorly short of breath....went to the dr and he gave me a shot of Benedryl which straightened me out......I think they are finally willing to believe that I actually have an allergy to this stuff......everyone just kept saying "your body produced it, you can't be allergic to it"......well I have to disagree with the dr's I am having an "allergic" reaction and further more it responds to antihistamines .

...so I"m just keeping my fingers crossed, in the meantime today I have felt mostly pretty good and I wanted to come on here and offer some support and ask for some too, thank-you girls for being there for me and I hope I haven't been too much of a pain, I try to offer as many hugs as I get

Gidge,
Isn't it odd how we do KNOW OUR BODY'S. Yet some how doctors and the like don't really seem to listen to what we say our body is doing. Allergies are very tricky some cause mild symptoms and some major. I'm glad in your case their seeing the light! I only had a TAH and other than some hot flashes and a little bit of post depression (Weepy spells) I'm fine. The doc says that my overys were fine. I hope they stay that way. I can barely imagine what you have had to deal with. I hope that they can find hormone replacements for you that won't cause nasty reactions. Just like any other drug on the market they seem to be popping up all over the place, or is it just me because Ihave been dealing hysterectomy for a while? Well plenty of {{Gentle Huggs}}.
Take care, If you need to vent, E- me.
