eliptical machine post-op

Does anyone have positive of negative experience with using the eliptical machine rathe r than walking for post-op exercise?

I would think the twisting effort required to move the eliptical would be difficult for you. It sounds like a question for your dr. I would start with the walking. My experience was that my dr. told me to do basically nothing for 6 to 8 weeks. Don't forget about all the internal healing that has to take place. But when you get permission to exercise jump on the eliptical and don't stop. TAH/BSO

i went on my machine at 10 weeks for 15 minutes with no resistance and I felt it for days. I'm still walking for exercise but dying to do more. Patience is a virtue they say.

I really liked the eliptical pre-op. Today at 10 weeks post TVH I got on it very slowly and just didn't feel ready...maybe a bit mental too. Sometimes I still get a mild pulling/pressure vaginally so I am going to wait another few weeks on that. I have been walking alot for a few weeks and doing my low impact dvd's also. Getting there, slowly but surely.
