Still haven't gotten results.

They are testing my tumor to see what they will rate it. If it's a 1, I probably won't need treatment. If it's 2 or 3, I will need heavy chemo. Theycall it an immature teratoma. They found other suspicious spots around my abdomen but they aren't sure if they are cacerous yet. They say my tumor is so rare they only see it every 10 years or so. I am suppoesed to return on the 24th and hopefully the results will be in then. I am being seen by a gyne-oncologist. He has sent my frozen section for a second oppinion to Pennsylvania State University Hospital.

Still haven't gotten results.

Denise:
So sorry that you haven't gotten the results yet... Is it because it is rare that it is taking so long? I don't think my path results were longer than a week. Hoping for the best possible outcome and that you wont need further treatment..
Keep us informed.

Still haven't gotten results.

Denise:

Sounds like they're doing a good thorough job of testing -- hopefully you'll benefit from that in the end. I hope you won't need further treatment, but if you do, it sounds like they'll have good information to plan with.

"Immature" sounds hopefull in this case, no?

How are you feeling? It must be so hard to wait. Are you recovering well from surgery?

Hi Denise:

Waiting is never easy.....I'm sending you positive thoughts that everything will turn out okay. I remember what that is like....even going for my checkups now isn't exactly worry free. Keep your chin up and we'll get through this together.
