The ultimate act of incompetence!

Here is a story non of my sisters will believe. Yesterday I went back to see my dr because of increasing pain yet again 8 weeks after my second surgery. I could not see the dr so they sent me in with her doctors assistant. Now I have nothing left inside which I explained to her when she said I had to have an internal exam, but hey what do I know because DURING the exam she found my ovary, cervics and yes my missing uterus. Now am I a medical miracle or what? At some point I think she realized maybe I knew what I was talking about, whipped off her gloves and fled the room leaving me hanging in the stirrups. She returned a good 20 minutes later to tell me to take advil and work on my attitude. Don't you love it???

Hi Shed

That is just unbelievable!

I hope you are putting in a complaint? Had she even checked your history? Did you have to stay in the stirrups until she returned? Are you going to see anyone else for a 2nd opinion?

Sorry, but I am angry for you, this is just sooooo wrong on many different levels.

Hugs

Please go for a second opinion. What two surgery's did they do? I don't blame you for being upset. I feel for you. Let us know how you are doing. I will pray for you.

The ultimate act of incompetence!

In march I had a hysterectomy that took everything except my left ovary and in sept I was full of adhesions and my ovary had to come out because of a cyst. That surgery was 3 plus hours and much more painful than the first. And I had been complaining of pain all summer. I have not been able to work, last spring ,all summer, nor this fall.

I know how you feel. I have had a very hard time also. The first thing you have to do to get another opinion to make sure your dr did the surgery he said he did. I believe he did and his assistant is incompetent because I too have been told some strange things by assistants or PAs. Don't waste your time anymore and insist you only see the dr.

The second thing you have to do is rest and relax. Try to think positive. Belileve me I am telling you the things I try to do for myself and I know it is not easy.

Let me know how you are doing and I will pray for you.

Feel better.
