7 1/2 week post op question

I had my total hysterectomy on 10/1. It is now 11/22. I am wondering if it is normal to still have discomfort on one side ( lower left ). It isn't all the time, but when it comes it is bothersome. When does the pain / discomfort final end ? The Dr. sent me back to work last week...it has been a challenge. Tired. Achy. Please send advice.....

I would say yes... At that point I was still taking my advil every evening. Around the 8 week point the evening pains started to wean off.

As for tired and achy, it is all part of recovery.. Try not to over do it and rest when you can.

I am sorry to hear you are still feeling discomfort & tired. I had a TAH (LSO) on 10/13 & was also concerned that this Monday will be 6 weeks for me & I have been still very tender to touch on my belly (& of course the swelly belly issues)...my pain fluctuates all over...sometimes I have a lot of pain on the right side (was a little worried because I only have on ovary on the rt side) also in my back, and have also been still feeling very tired a lot. I suppose it must be a normal part of our recovery and healing. I was really hoping to be feeling more energy. I have a doctors appointment this Monday and most likely will be going back to work within the next week or so. God bless, hang in there & take care.
