Pain on lower right abdomen area

I had a vertical TAH (leaving ovaries) and Bladder Sling surgery on 10/2/08. Everything is healing good so far, but now I am getting sharp pulling pain in the lower right side of my abdomen. It hurts when I walk and if anything pushes into my abdomen. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? I went back to work on 11/17, a sitting position and I have been careful not to lift anything that I shouldn't. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pain on lower right abdomen area

Does it hurt if you're just sitting? I get a pain on the right if I've been walking and doing more than usual, but if I'm just sitting there's no pain.

How did you know you had a blood clot? My Doctor told my husband I had very little bleeding during my surgery. My surgery was last Tuesday, Nov 18th. Abdominal hysterectomy, uterus and ovaries removed. I had fibroid tumours in my uterus. I choose to have my healthy ovaries removed since ovarian cancer if one of the hardest cancers to detect.Pathology reports came back clear and normal, Very thankful.

They found out when my blood count was at 7 and she thought i was bleeding internally.. They did a CT scan and found it was a clot but it was in a place it wont break away. Today I found out another one formed and might have to go in to have it drained if it doesnt go down My stomach looks like im about 4 months pregnant and I have a huge bruise on my stomach as well .. Believe me you will know you have one the pain is unbearable at times

Good luck and I pray you will find some answers soon and Cathie, I hope your blood clot goes down and you don't have to have it drained. That sounds really painful!!

I believe they will tell you it is the nerves starting to awaken... Unless you have a temp and are hurting alot, it is probably just the normal twinges we get... There was a lot of internal cutting going on.

Thank you all for your thoughts and concern. I will try to see if it gets better. I also had a 3 month Lupron injection in August, so maybe between the surgery and my ovaries waking up things will get better.

I hope all of you are healing wonderfully!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We have a lot to be thankful for.
