Should I Be Concerned?

Hello It's been a while since I've posted in this site. But I had a TAH on one year ago and I am having cramps like if I was having my period. I don't know if this is normal or not. Please help me get some answers.
Thanks

Should I Be Concerned?

Hi Princess

Sorry you are having cramps :-(

If you kept your ovaries it is possible that you now have a cysts..... or you could just have pulled something.

Hugs

Should I Be Concerned?

Have the cramps just started or have you had them right along? Did you keep your ovaries? I think it would be a good idea to discuss this with your doctor as s/he knows what would be normal for you.

Should I Be Concerned?

Ovarian cysts can cause period like cramping. I just went through that (a few months of cramping) and my best friend is too. The ultrasound taken in October showed a cyst with two eggs, a probable hemorrhagic cyst and a 7mm solid area. However, after surgery, my doctor said he only found a follicle cyst and an egg...no big deal. That said, there are probably other causes of cramping. When in doubt, call your doctor. Good luck.

Should I Be Concerned?

Thank you all for all the great answers.
I did keep my ovaries, and I have felt the cramps on and off during the year but this past week they were intense and I worry because I never did have a check up after the surgery and it's been a little over a year now.
I also changed health plans and have to see a new group of DR. I do have an appointment this Friday to see the gyno. I hope everything turns out fine. I am praying.
Thanks and I hope everyone has a great and Happy Thanksgiving.
