When should I be concerned?

I was diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer that they still don't know much about....still studying it. It was removed 10/31.

It was classified as a stage 3. He didn't tell me much else except I am to start chemo in January and I won't see him again till then.

Toight I have a low grade fever. Should I be concerned?

I did have a flu shot on Nov 24.

When should I be concerned?

Denise:

So sorry to hear that you've got a fever. I imagine that the cause could be any number of things, but if you're concerned, don't hesitate to call your doctor's office and let them decide if you should worry.

I used to feel guilty and silly about calling the Dr's office and "bothering" them with questions or concerns that seemed like they could be nothing. However, it's THEIR JOB to field these kinds of questions. Whether it's anything to worry about or not, you'll feel so much better with some peace of mind by addressing the issue than if you keep worrying.

Hang in there. I can imagine how frustrating and hard it is to wait until the next step in your treatment.

When should I be concerned?

Yep, I'd call and run it by the doc just to be safe. There are LOTS of buggers going around right now (my mom said just about everyone there is sick!), and you might have accidentally "adopted" one. (I don't think at this point it would be related to the flu shot.)

Hope you feel better!!

When should I be concerned?

Hi Denise,
I too don't think it's related to the cancer but the wise thing is as others already noted to call your doctor. Pls remember they are in your pay and they will understand your concerns. I hope you're fever goes away soonest and does not proceed to a cold or flu.
