Concerns about pain and discharge at 2 weeks post-op

I had a hysterectomy done on 11.25.08 after the surgery i was done good on up to this week, I experiencing some pain on my right side it feels good if i kind of hold or lift my stomach up is this a normal feel? then also the discharge comes and goes some days it will be really light then some days it will be heavy and a little blood be with it is this normal?

You're probably looking around the forums right now looking to see if someone else has had the same as you are experiencing. If you haven't, give it a go, it's helped me a lot over this time.
You will also see that almost everyone recommends calling your doctor or your surgeon's nurse (or whoever they've told you to call with any problems) whenever you are really bothered about something. Try not to worry about it not being 'bad enough', it's sillier to wait til it gets bad!! They can only say don't worry. And that's good, isn't it?
It depends too on the type of procedure you had. What may be 'normal' to expect for one type of surgery is not 'normal' for another.
I think you should do what you have to do so you can relax into your recovery with the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have done the right thing. You deserve a happy healthy life. Be the princess you are and I hope the discomfort clears up soon for you.
