Celebrities on HRT

I know this is kind of a frivolous question but do we know which celebrity women (50+) who look fabulous (and 10 years younger) are taking HRT compared with those who aren't.

I know of suzanne sommers... but just wondered who else has been on it following a hysterectomy

I've wanted to know the same thing and even goggled it but came up with nothing except for Suzanne. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one with hormone issues gone bad but then I read the posts here and I know I'm not. And I watch ALOT of tv and wonder, "I wonder if she's on BHRT or HRT and how is she doing?"

I don't think it's something that is discussed openly. I know I don't often discuss with others what meds, including hrt that I take. Close family/friends may know, but it's not usually the topic of discussion. It's probably the same with celebs. Why would/should they advertise what meds, including hrt that they take? With the exception of Sally Field, who uses Boniva.

I think because they ARE out there in public and can help people by getting the word out. Like Suzanne Sommers. She has gotten such bad press because of bios but she is determined to speak about it anyway. Why should so many women suffer thru this hormone jungle and not know what to do. I had NO idea about bios until I heard it from Suzanne on some talk show. I wish more celebs would come out

I doubt I will tell anyone and everyone that I take HRT so I know you're right.

If I were a celebrity though, I would come out and say what worked/didn't work for me after going through this nightmare just to help other women.

I know some women survive without any HRT (I've read some of the posts on this site) but I don't actually know anyone without ovaries who does....and looks like Suzanne Sommers at 60!

It's fine for everyone, including celebrities, to share what does and doesn't work for them but the fact still remains that what works well for some doesn't work well for others. That's why there's often a lot of trial and error finding the right hormone therapy--whether it's bio-identical or not.

I heard about bio-identical hormones on this website long before I ever heard of Suzanne Somers' use of them. I don't mind sharing my experiences on this site to help others but the topic rarely comes up in my daily life outside of HysterSisters.

Didn't Fran Dresser have a very public outing of her hysterectomy? Perhaps she's on it.
