Dizziness 4 wk p/op - anyone else?

Hi! Jan 15 is 4 week mark for post op. Started on 9 mg premerin 2 weeks ago. Gradually started having dizziness spells that progressively got worse - one day I bent down slightly to pick something off a table - stood up and room tilted and I nearly hit my head on my computer printer! I stopped taking the Premerin until I spoke to my Dr. Night I stopped taking it - slept for about 3 hrs. Broke it in half & took half a 9 mg the following night and slept like a log. Dizziness started to really ease up. This morning, sitting playing with my cat, turned to talk to my husband and now my head is spinning. I have been diagnosed with vertigo. Dr also is putting me on 3 mg dose of Premerin. Do not have a cold so I don't think that is the cause.

Has anyone else experienced extreme dizziness on the Premerin or post op? These spells have been happening since last Friday Help!

Dizziness 4 wk p/op - anyone else?

Hi,

Im 12 weeks post tah and was (am in??) sugical meno. I posted about dizziness on premarin very early on in recovery and my doctor switched me to estraderm patches. I still had dizziness (almost like vertigo) until the dose was increased to 100mg

Most doctors I saw said there was no connection between dizziness and hysterectomy/menopause etc etc. However, if you just search on google you will see thousands of posts on this subject

I would suggest you see what your hormone levels are and then get adjusted

Hope this helps
