Father-in-law diagnosed with Cancer.

My father-in-law was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and will be having surgery on January 23, which is 2 days after I am scheduled to have my TAH/BSO. My family needs all the prayer we can't get. We trust in the Lord in all aspects of life and truly believe that everything he does has a purpose.

Please pray for comfort, healing and strength, for us as well as those who are helping us.

Father-in-law diagnosed with Cancer.

Well, we are both home from our surgeries. My father-in-law seems to be recovering well. Although I haven't been able to go see him because the recovery from my TAH/BSO is kicking my butt My husband is a great support to me and is very encouraging. But on the other hand it is hard on him that he can't be there for his dad as much as he would like. For example, his dad needed a ride to have his catheter removed, but his appt is 45 minutes away and I can't take care of the kids by myself yet. I am sure someone from his church took him, but it is so hard when the rest of the family lives hours away.

Thank you for the prayer. I believe we are so blessed to have a big prayer support system.

I am glad to hear that you are both doing better. I can imagine how your DH must feel, wanting to be there for you in every way, and at the same time wanting to help his dad...I pray for a smooth and quick recovery for you both, and for Gods strenght and wisdom on your DH....
