Still in pain/Still depressed

I am 5 months post op LAVH-kept ovaries. Ovaries are embedded in scar tissue right now. I still have moderate to severe back pain on a daily basis and moderate pain where my ovaries are located. I still see my physical therapist twice a week and she has done wonders but I'd love to heal so much faster and stop crying. I cry approx. 1-2 times a day still-I'm on meds for depression (due to chronic pain)-Maybe I should just relinquish the thought of ever being able to be physically active again-I'm not very happy right now, I want to feel my age again (38) - I guess I had high expectations from having surgery and now i feel that it was for no reason and that makes it harder to deal with emotionally (as my 7 year old son wanted a brother so bad he tells me almost weekly)-3 weeks ago i told my husband we could have fun with sex but no penetration until I am way better as I think this might help my physically with pain (as intercourse is painful)-thanks for your supportive words ladies-It's a just a bad day.

Still in pain/Still depressed

I am so sorry you are having to deal with so much pain.

Have you talked to your doctor about your depression meds? it sounds like they might need adjusting. I took anti- d's years ago and it was quite a process to get the dosage right. I know you are in pain but the depression isnt going to help your healing process either. There is also another pill on the market that your doctor can add to your current regimen that can help with the pain. Please talk to your doctor, it can get better.

I have also read that accupuncture can help with chronic pain. You might look into that as well.

Big hugs, you WILL get through this!
