Day at the Beach!!!

My tat has been through 2 weight shifts of 60+ lbs back and forth and doesn't have a a wrinkle or a stretch make through it. It's about the size of my hand. The lower back (an inch above your money slot ) is pretty forgiving.

Day at the Beach!!!

I actually found an image online that I absolutely love. It looks like an angry uterus, but the colors are so happy. It just kind of captures how I was feeling about the pain I was experiencing. But I don't think I really want a uterus tattooed on my body. After all, I do want to be able to show it off on occasion.

Day at the Beach!!!

CharMay, is it an Irish Claddagh you were thinking of?

Think the back and/or shoulder the best place for the tattoo hopefully no wrinkles there. Not sure if I could take the pain tho!

tkdnut-

What wonderful memories! As children, we used to go to Mendocino all the time. Back then, you could collect driftwood and make fires on the beach. A lot of the beaches in CA have outlawed that now..

Day at the Beach!!!

The tat needle is not like a normal needle. It's almost pleasant.

Chris, I wish that my uterus & cervix was taken by a real med photographer. It looked as if it was plopped unceremoniously on a chux and a pen was thrown in for comparison. No art to it at all. I did yell at the picture while I was still recovering. My DH hit the PCA button and took the picture away.

Day at the Beach!!!

Broin, Where are you in Ireland? My DH and I spent 11 fabulous days there in April 07 and travelled from Dublin along the southern coast and up the west to the Cliffs of Moher and then left out of Shannon. We absolutely loved it! When we retire we would love to move to Ireland and possibly run a B&B. We especially loved the Dingle Peninsula along Slea Head Drive. We were very lucky when we were there, we went expecting rain and actually had a couple days around 71 degrees. We were walking along waterfronts eating ice cream cones and then going to beaches where people were actually laying out and getting in the water. Never thought we'd see that at that time of year in Ireland.

So what do you all do when you aren't cruising on HysterSisters or recovering from surgery? I work in higher education (1/2 time professor, 1/2 time administrator), and I co-chair an advisory board at one of the local high schools. I got an iPod for Christmas, so I've been rediscovering how much I love to listen to music.

Broinn, Yes exactly! It has significance in our family so it would be appropriate for my boy.
