Day at the Beach!!!

Chris if you feel up to an 7 hour drive, I have a terrific OBGYN here in MI! I'd hate to have to go through that process again... good luck!

CC are you close to the ocean?

Broinn, I'm not sure but your issues with cancellations really stuck with me and I was really worried. It was almost a relief NOT to se a post from you... I was so afraid we would see one on that Sunday night or Monday morning
tell us your Doctor's "emergency" idea didn't work. Glad your with us!

Day at the Beach!!!

Yes, the sunshine here has enabled me to get out walking everyday... just what my big belly needs!

Chris, your getaway sounds great! I have never been in your part of the country before.

I have many favorite beaches... the beaches of Hawaii are the best IMO. Here in CA, I love Asilomar beach, New Brighton Beach in Capitola, and San Gregorio Beach.

Sarah,

I am about an hour away from the nearest beach which is Half moon bay. I live in the East bay of san francisco bay area. Monterey, my fav area, is about 2hrs away...

Day at the Beach!!!

After I started with this doctor, two other women gave me a recommendation for the same doctor, so I may just call her. Also, my current doctor is not the one who did my surgery. She was on vacation during the time I wanted the surgery, so one of the other doctors in the practice did the surgery. I could just stay with him, although I haven't had a male gynecologist since 1991.

Day at the Beach!!!

CC--I was in San Francisco a couple times for conference and fell in love with the area. I have to admit, though, that I was nervous about earthquakes the whole time. (Yes, I watch too much TV.) I'm happily in the midwest, where we have to deal with occasional blizzards, tornadoes, and flooding.

Day at the Beach!!!

LOVE the SF area... I have family in Monterey.

Chris, I too don't know if I would be happy to go back to a male doctor.

Day at the Beach!!!

Chris... a male gyno did my surgery... came highly recommended. Now that I am uterus/cervix free, I plan on looking for a female gyno who is open to using bioidentical hormones when I go through menopause. One thing people do out here is called a "meet and greet". It usually costs about $50 out of pocket (no coverage), but enables you to meet the gyno to see if you have chemistry. I want someone who is open to "natural" or alternative treaments.

Day at the Beach!!!

Chris, that is soo funny about earthquakes! I was born here and have experienced several of them. The funny part is that the idea of blizzards and tornadoes scare the crud out of me! I think we fear what we do not know....

Sarah... I love monterey too! We go a lot to Pacific Grove. We also love winetasting and hiking out in Carmel Valley. Big Sur is great too, but the fire damaged a lot of it...
