Post op TVH spotting

I hope this doesnt sound like a silly question, but I am wondering if any others have had this....I had no bleeding for two days after the surgery. On day three I had red blood, not much, and then dark brown blood, again not much, and now for the last few days it has been very minimal like the color of iced tea. Does that sound right? I am 10 days postop. I am so anxious to have absolutely NO discharge whatsoever. Does it sound like it is almost over, or will it drag on and on for weeks?

I had an LAVH and had very little red spotting for the first few days which turned to a brownish color for the next week or so. Then I had a burst of red blood (which my doc said was probably just pooled in swollen folds of the vagina), followed by brown and then yellow for another couple weeks. When I went for my 4 week checkup, I no longer had any discharge. Everyone is different though. Good luck to you.

I had a TVH and had discharge until the 5th week. The doctor said that was really unusual and that it was partly because I still had one stitch left. But I am completely done now, so even if you're a slow healer like me it doesn't last forever.

It is very annoying, but the discharge will stop. Mine lasted about 3 weeks. I was beginning to think that I would have to deal with that for ever! Three weeks really wasn't bad compared to what I use to go through. I am 4 weeks post op and now the thing that I'm concerned about is bladdder leakage. Hope you don't have that issue. I really wasn't ready for that.
I'm praying that that we be healed soon.

Ok, I'm going through the same thing....had a SAH on 1/13/09 and when they kept my cervix and ovaries, but when I went to the bathroom for the first time after they removed the foley, I bled alot for about 7 days..than stopped. I was so happy. Now last Friday, I got a burst of red blood, not much, than turned brown. It seemed to stop, and I mentioned at my doctor's appt yesterday, he goes, oh it sounds like your period, nothing to worry about. I go to the bathroom tonight to find some more spotting..I just burst into tears, how long does this last?

I ended up getting a hyster because I had fibroids and I bled/spotted every single day for almost two years. I tried everything, ablation, D&C's etc., medications, nothing worked. I can't go through that again....

But I do feel better after reading your posts...Hang in there sisters there are others going through the same thing
