TVT installed too low, cut or remove?

TVT put in 9 wks ago - it's too low. I can feel a big ridge in vagina that has decreased my vaginal diameter so that my husband can't get past it and instead hits it. OUCH. Vaginal/abdominal pain all the time now that we've tried relations twice. Feels like it's cutting me from the back side or inside.
New Urogyn says has to be cut or taken out. As erosion pain is never ending now, I'm ready to do something. Should I have it cut on both ends or taken out?

I'm sorry but I have no idea what a TVT is.

Doesn't sound fun though and I'm sorry you're going through this.

TVT is one of two kinds of urethral slings

TVT and TOT are the abbrevations for the slings to hold the urethra up after a bladder prolapse. Often done with a cystocele.
They are always synthetic material and they don't stretch or give, ever.
Some of the other threads express the sling cutting their urethras. YIKES.
My new urogyn says that he puts his in behind the pelvic bone, much higher than mine was put in.
You can see a picture of the actual procedure if you want to look around on urogyn.org.

Oh, okay. I didn't know the abbrevation. I had a cystocele, rectecle and A&P repairs with my LATVH. My DH and I have only had intercourse one time. It her me from all the repairs, but my DH didn't say that it hurt him, only that it felt different. My Dr. said I have a 16 yr old vagina now.

Good Luck.
