Just scar tissue?

Hey ladies. I have noticed some tenderness in my incision sites the last week. YesterdayI noticed my right ab incision was sore and has a small lump. I am figuring it is a small amount of scar tissue. The left side has an even smaller lump. It's only as far wide as the incision just mainly "under" it. If that makes sense. Will this soften up or stop being so sore?

I want to be pain free. It's irritating more than anything. Thanks for your info!!

make sure you ask your dr

Make sure you ask your doctor about it at your checkup. My upper right incision feels like a lump around my ribs sometimes. A friend in my Sunday School class had surgery right after me and said her dr told her to do some stretching to help it out. I'm not sure if that helps.

Some of it could just be swelling after surgery. I'm 12 weeks post op and didn't feel like wearing jeans until a few weeks ago. Everyone is different. I also didn't heal as quickly as others. I wasn't healed enough at 7 weeks post op. I go Monday for a follow up so he can make sure I finished healing up inside properly. I think I have, because I am feeling much better.

Just scar tissue?

Thanks. I had my last post op appointment and I go back to work Monday. So I'm hoping it's just scarring that will ease up. I have started to exercise a bit more so the stretching may have irritated it.

Thanks so much!
