Bladder Spasms

I am posting because Iam curious to see if anyone else is feeling this way. 2 months agao had a LAVH and A & P reapir along witha bladder sling. . But I feel like I have some rectal pressure along with what I can only describe as bladder spasms. It only occurs every few days. I am back to work and feeling well while at work. But these past two weekends, just feel sore and achy on the bladder area, along with this pressure. I don't feel as though I have a urinary tract infection My stools are soft, and am taking several things to keep it that way. I am hopeful that this is just still the healing process, but am frustrated, trying to get back into a regular routine but this can be annoying of course becuase it interrupts that routine. Hope I am not alone. Yes I ready to get back into the swing of things Thanks

You are at the same point in your recovery that I was when my bladder spasms started. It would be a good idea to get checked for a uti just in case. I did not have an infection with my spasms, and found that Azo Standard was a good otc medication to make me more comfortable and keep the spasms under control.

Thanks for the info, I am glad to know that it is possible to experience these spasms 2 months down the road.

I had severe bladder spasms. 6 days post op I was admitted back in the hospital with an acute kidney infection. I have one day of anitbiotics left to take but am still having issues. I seriously do not want to be in the hospital again. I am thinking the bladder spasms may be normal following surgery. I was given a medication in the hospital that turned my urine orange....peridium, I think. My dr. sent me home with samples of something called UTA and it turned my urine blue. However, they both helped with the spasms. Good luck!
