uterus size

I had an ultrasound and LSH. My uterus size was never equated to pregnancy size. Mabe because I had a LSH and it came out through a morcellator. My post op pathology did say my uterus size was 11 X12X4 cm, 111gr. Does anyone know how that equates for pregnancy size?

Re: uterus size

Not sure how yours would relate to pregnancy size. However, I can tell you that mine was nearly 500 grams, and was 16+weeks size. I had "several large fibroids" about the size of a tennis ball. I also had "multiple smaller fibroids", some of which were the size of a golf ball.

I do hope that helps you some. I had a TAH with a vertical incision, and I am now 10+ weeks post-op. Things are getting better every day. Or at least, that's what I tell myself!

Good luck with your recovery. Sending best wishes.........

Re: uterus size

A virgin uterus weights around 40 to 45 gms. Mine also was 111 gms. I was told anything over 100 usually has to go. I hope that helps!!! Take care!!!

Re: uterus size

I was told mine was equivalent to an 18 week pregnancy. Sure is nice to have that big bump gone, my pants fit me again without straining against that bulge!

Re: uterus size

Hi. I am actually an ultrasound tech. The typical uterus measures about 10 cm in length,.. but the way we measure it includes the cervical length. The cervix itself measures about 3 cm,.. so I would say anything > 7 cm would be considered enlarged.
