Irritated nerve endgs vs Nerve Entrapement: How do you tell the difference?

I have funky little spots that are do not touch zones now because they cause pain to shoot from one area to another. Hot, stabbing nerve pain. Other areas are hypersensitive and a gentle caress has them freaking out and me pushing my loving mate's hand away. I hope they go away!

That sounds very uncomfortable. Have you let your doctor know? He might want to take a look, or give you an idea if this is something to be concerned about, or will pass with healing.
