Well I took my nails off!!!!

I broke a nail today (I have the solar nails on) so I took the liberty of calling my GYN's office to see if I needed to go ahead and take them off or if I could get it fixed and they informed me that I needed to go ahead and take them off So it is officially getting closer!!!!!

Re: Well I took my nails off!!!!

Ah, I agree on those who differ on nails.

When I had emergency gall bladder surgery, back in 1984, I had porcelain nails. Mine were LONG....almost 2 inches long and painted with hand-painted geometrics (long before air brushing). I did not have to do anything to them (since it was an emergency) and I woke up with all 10 in tact and perfectly painted.

The year before, when my daughter was born, the only thing they would not allow me to wear were my contacts. LOL!

Re: Well I took my nails off!!!!

My doctor/hospital didn't require me to have my nails taken off. My toes were painted. (To be honest I just didnt' have time to take the polish off and it looked bad) I had my nails done the day before in an American manicure and they looked very natural. I don't keep them long anyway.

Re: Well I took my nails off!!!!

I had to get mine taken off too- which is probably for the best, as I will most likely not feel up to maintaining them for a while after surgery anyway. I am looking forward to having them put back on though-it will be my back to work treat to myself!
