2 Days until TAH (kids mentioned)

I have 2 days to go and I am alternating between nerves & excitement...I am so very ready for this to be over with!

I have everything packed & ready to go, my son is going to the zoo with his aunt on thurs, house is super clean, meals are frozen, pantry is stocked, work is delegated, hubby is ready & my bedroom is all set up for when I come home...why do I feel like I am forgetting something?

Oh well I am sure I will remember it once I am hooked up to the IV

I am looking forward to spending Wed with my son & husband as a last hurrah - we are going to have a fun family day since I will be laid up for a while. Thankfully no bowel prep or diet restrictions- but I am planning on eating light meals Wed & continue taking Miralax today & tomorrow to help with the gas problems afterward.

Best wishes to you!!!! I'm doing the same thing...house well cleaned, meals frozen and lots of family fun beforehand. Keep us updated on your recovery. I'm scheduled for the same thing on the 16th!

I felt the same way like i was missing something... but i wasn't .... I remembered everything and more.... i had a suitcase.... which was good... I took my computer... books ... so much stuff and didnt even touch any of it... Just remember to plz take it easy and slow.... Don't rush yourself... I know i am driving myself nuts in week 3 of recovery... lol... but i am still so achy and crampy all over but i know i feel alot better than I did right after ... so now is just the waiting time til i am up and Running.... Completely.. YAY huggles...

GOod luck to you!! I am 10 days out now and feeling so much better. Everyday gets a little bit better. Just make sure to let others spoil you for awhile and get out of bed soon after.

I feel the same way. I go in tomorrow at 6:45 am and I keep running through my lists in my head. I have packed, I done the bowel prep, and I have given the last hugs to the kids. I know that all the big things are covered, but I still keep itching my head thinking SOMETHING must be missing. I look forward to "seeing" you in the post-op discussions. Kris
