Am I going nuts

I am almost 2 years post op and I feel like I am losing it! My moods can go from everything is fine to yelling at anything that moves in a heartbeat. I have always been a active person and on the go and now I would rather stay home and watch TV than do anything else. I feel like a prisoner in my own body.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions??

I want to have my life back or at least feel like I am living it

Thanks!!

Re: Am I going nuts

Can you get your hormone levels tested to see what might not be balanced. Would be a good starting point at least. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Am I going nuts

You are not going nuts even though you feel like it. I have been on the biggest roller coaster ride of my life since this surgery!

I have always been an "on the go" kind of gal myself and then I suddenly found myself too tired to do hardly anything. Making it to the grocery store was quite a challenge most days. Depression and anxiety hit me HARD which I had NEVER dealt with before in my life until post op.

Have you ever had a hormone panel done or at the VERY LEAST have they checked your estrogen levels to see where they are at? If not, request it and see where you are. Estrogen has a wide range of normal but it will at least give you a vague idea which is at least a starting point.

Are you taking HRT now? If so, what are you taking and what dose are you on?

My heart goes out to you. I am just recently trying compounded HRT and so far I feel a lot better! It is all still so new though I have to give it more time to see if the improved feeling will stick around for the long hall!

You may need an adjustment in your dose of HRT and if that doesn't work you may need to try a different method of HRT. Try keeping a day to day journal of all your symptoms and what the day has been like for you. Make copies to give to your Dr so they have a record to look at when trying to help you.

((((((Hang in there)))))) You can always come here and ask all kinds of questions. The ladies here have helped me a lot!
