Basil Thermometer for checking to see if ovaries are working?

I read an article somewhere and can not find it about using a basil thermometer to check to see if your ovaries are working. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing! lol! I want to chart my temps to take to my gyn . I had surgery in 04. I still have my ovaries. I am 35 now and I know my body is not hormonally balanced. I can not get a doc to run a panel to check my levels! I hope this makes sense!

Re: Basil Thermometer for checking to see if ovaries are working?

Hi

I did a google search for Basal Body Temperature, and got several good results. There are some who do a very good job of explaining how to chart.

It works well, as I have used it in the past. However, you must take your temp the very first thing you do in the morning, before moving or even thinking much. It doesn't take much to get your body temp to start rising for the days activities.
