Vivelle Dot "Glue"

When I started using the patch several months ago, I searched old threads to find out how to remove the sticky residue when I changed my patch. I have very sensitive skin, and no matter what I tried (suggestions included rubbing alcohol and "Goo Gone") I had a few pink rectangles on my body at all times. A couple weeks ago I was inspired to try eye make-up remover (Neutrogena non-oily) on a cotton ball. I didn't like it for my eyes, but it did the trick for this. The glue comes off with very little rubbing, and I don't have any more rectangles on my butt! I thought I would post in case anyone else is looking for an answer to this problem. Now I LOVE my dots!

Re: Vivelle Dot "Glue"

I am going to have to try this. I hate having little rectangles all over my tummy.

I found that if you rub Olive Oil over the adhesive and then let is set about 15 minutes, it will easily wipe off with wet papertowel.

Re: Vivelle Dot "Glue"

Mine little dots just come right off. Of course I can't see my butt but hubby says he can see where they have been. Those places don't feel sticky to me, though. I am glad you found a solution to getting the adhesive off of you. In the future I will know what to tell other people that have that problem!
