Anyone using Estrace?

I picked up my prescription. It's 1mg of Estrace (pill).

-I am concerned about a "drop off" feeling while switching from the Estrogel to the Estrace.

- Is the dosage equivalent? I was using one pump of Estrogel.

I'm thinking that if it's about the same in dosage that maybe I should be going on a 1.5 dosage of Estrace instead of only the 1.

Any thoughts?

Re: Anyone have experience with Estrace?

Hi there,

I have been on estrace since march.. I did have to have it increased from 1 mg to 2mg this month because of the number of hot flashes per day. I have not had any problems with it so far!!!!! I don't know what its like in comparison to estrogel though so I can't help that way. But I seem to be tolerating the estrace without a glitch so far.

Re: Anyone have experience with Estrace?

I am currently using estradiol 1 mg hae been for several months now, i use to use the patch called climara it has it pros and cons what i notice to be a hassel was it will come off in the showe and also while sleeping it may get on the sheets, gown, etc... It also left bruises on my body so that is one reason why the dr and i decided to try esrtadiol 1mg.

I am looking for a more safer, herbal type hormonal therapy is anyone aware of something safe and actually works, i have been told about black kohash.

Talk with your doctor about your concerns and smpytoms that is my best advice

Anyone using Estrace?

I changed from the Estrogel to 1mg Estrace and I am wondering what to expect.

- Does Estrace cause weight gain?

-How long will it take before I feel a difference?

Thanks for feedback! Robin

Re: Hysterectomy and one ovary removed 8 years ago - EstroGel question

Robin,

Here is your other post:

https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...d.php?t=365942

It is best to start a new thread with a new topic. As you changed hrt and were asking new questions about a different form of hrt we started a new thread for you. This way you can get support from other members who are using this form of ert. As you can see, you already have some replies.

Sorry, we do usually send a PM to inform the member but I was interrupted and neglected to do so. My apologies to you.

Re: Anyone have experience with Estrace?

Re: Anyone have experience with Estrace?

I did not begin hrt of any kind until the very end of April of this year. I was on 1 pump of Estrogel until the switch over to Estrace 2 days ago.

Re: Anyone using Estrace?

I feel so very anxious and depressed I feel I may go insane. Today is day 5 on 1mg of Estrace.....shouldn't I be feeling a little bit better by now?

I am sooo tempted to apply one pump of Estrogel as well.

I need some encouragement.....thanks.
