Whew what a day

I've had a rough go of it today ladies. I think the jitters are trying to set in. Don't get me wrong I'm all about July the 8th. I think it's just a difficult time right now. Got so much going on here at home. This was an all of the sudden you finally get to have this surgery, your DH is currently laid off, trying to start his own business, and your on short term disability day. Still kinda feeling ick after yesterdays Dr appt. I'm hangin in there, but am also trying to get rid of the stress before surgery, so I can focus on recovery. I'm taking a horse pill of an antibiotic. That's always fun. Oy vey what a rant I have going, I'm gonna quit now. Thanks ladies for the day to day info. This has become my new obsession.........well not so much obsession as hobbie I guess....

Re: Whew what a day

Those last few days before surgery can be tough. I remember having those feelings of anxiety, mixed with anticipation.

We should probably start a 12-step group for members like you and me.... I spent so much time on the site before my surgery that I started getting annoyed when there weren't enough new posts for me to read each time I logged on.

Take care and remember to do something "just for you" before your surgery. Just think -- soon you'll be on the road to recovery.

Re: Whew what a day

Hey KYPrincess! You are not alone! I think we are all starting to feel that way. I know if it wasn't for this website and reading how thousands of other women have felt or are feeling the same as me has really helped me. Otherwise I would think I needed Prozac. I swear each day closer I get more and more anxious. And I spend more and more time on this site. I hardly touch my Myspace & Facebook anymore.
Hope you have a fun 4th of July!

Re: Whew what a day

I agree 100%. I get on this website every morning to see if anything new was posted from the night before And then I scroll thru just to make sure I didn't miss anything. My DH just laughs at me and says, "haven't you already read everything there?". Yep, but gotta make sure I didn't miss anything.
Only 3 more days till my trip to the Castle. I'm not really scared, just anxious.
This is a very emotional month (week) as well. My oldest son in the Navy just transferred to California to start his next adventure. (Proud, but lots of tears for mama); My second son leaves Thursday (same day I get home from the castle) for Navy boot camp. (Very proud, but lots more tears). And for whatever reason, I started crying last night missing my dog (who died over a year ago), so why it hit me again last night, who knows? Nerves?
My DH is going to stay at the castle with me and then my mom is coming for a week (very excited about that). So all will be fine, once the waiting is finally over.
Good luck to all those going on their road trip to the Castle this week.

Re: Whew what a day

I with you sisters. I'm out on disability for this, My MD put me out r/t my Blood pressure going to 160/80 and thought I should RELAX , My DH has other plans his idea was get deck furniture before your procedure, then I'll help with the grocery shopping. His thought process was he was and mine was just a teensy bit different. My DH is a darling though He works 90+ hrs a week and I"M home as an emotional basket case trying to prepare and thanking all of you for the wonderful help and insight.
Meanwhile my BP keeps going up to 170/90 and then last vist it was 178 over 94 and the doc said well that isn't pretty. Not quite that nice choice of words. Best of Luck to us.

So like you I say What a Day.. As I put up the umbrella and new table on the deck for the 4th of July .. That's me and there's the party..
