concerned..... concerned.....

I had an abdominal hysterectomy 20 days ago (June 24th) and about 2 days ago my belly started hurting a bit more than it had. It it swollen more on one side and feels a bit hard....but is not warm or red. Today I noticed a little bit of puss coming out of the corner of the incision (but on the opposite side).
My temperature is only 99.3 (is this even considered a fever?).
Should I be worried?
Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks in advance

Re: concerned.....

Worried - No, but you should head to the Dr. or a clinic a.s.a.p. to get it looked at. Pus and an incision don't belong together in the same sentence.

Re: concerned.....

Those symptoms say you are not healing as you should - call your doc.

Re: concerned.....

I would get it checked out. However — I have one small spot on my TAH incision which, 8 weeks post op, is still seeping a tiny bit. Both the doc and a nurse have looked at it and said that's not unusual and it will heal eventually. I also had a fever about like yours for a couple of days, but then my temp returned to normal.

Re: concerned.....

Go to your DR. My tummy was slightly swollen on right side of incision after 10 days post op. Just slightly red but I had no temperature at all. Day 11 (horrendeous pain) puss came flowing out of incision and it was infected. Took 3 weeks to clear so get it checked asap. lol
