10 Day post Op Is My Last Appt!

So I had my 10 day Post up today.
Got my Steri Strips off. 2 of the Incisions look good. 3 Dont look very good. I hope they heal up nicer.

I did have Adenomyosis. Im not surprised.

Anyways. I did not ask any questions! Oops. I am usually better then that. But I really did not have any at this point.

I did ask at the end when my Next Post op was...he said. This is it really- You dont need to see me again...Unless something comes up.
He must be the only Dr that does this.

He said I am welcome to come back at 3-5 weeks.
So I may.

Isnt this kind of wierd? I mean he didnt even give me a time frame for Going back to work, Lifting, Sex or anything else.

Is anyone elses Dr that Slack in Post op?

Re: 10 Day post Op Is My Last Appt!

Hi Spamee!
I have kinda been wondering the same thing. I had my last post-op visit at 4 weeks and the doctor said that I don't have to go back for 3 months. I am reading about everyone else going in for a 6 week visit for a vaginal cuff check. I am anxious to hear what everyone has to say. But, only a 10 day post op visit does seem really early to release you. I think I would take him up on that offer of going back at 3-5 weeks, especially to get your questions answered.

Re: 10 Day post Op Is My Last Appt!

I would ask for another appointment. A 10-day post op visit seems really, really early to me. Additionally, he didn't give you any specifics on sex, swimming, bathing, and most importantly -- going back to work! How are you supposed to know what your restrictions/limitations are??? .

I'm not having a two-week -- just a 4week visit in late August (My surgery was just on Monday!).

Definitely ask for another visit and write down all of your questions and concerns before-hand. That way, you won't forget and he'll have to answer!

Best Wishes,
Chrys
