Hey Kim,

I call them 'Hyssie fits' and know exactly what you're talking about! AT&T commercial? Crying! Scruffy looking dog in the parking lot? Crying! Little girl holding Dad's hand in the parking lot? Sobbing uncontrollably at how 'buh-buh- beautiful' it is! LOL I'm told this will level off, but to expect that it will also take us by surprise once in a while. I guess we just roll with it and take it for what it really is--our bodies' response to a traumatic major surgery.

Good luck and be well,

T

could be your progesterone levels dropped dramatically. you can pick up creams w/ it in it. i suggest the stuff made from plants due to it being closer to our natural hormones; better than the fabricated chemicals. i'm using wise essentials, femarone 17. it's not cheep but it works wonders. it's not the only type out there, but it is made from wild yams and it works well for me.

hope that helps. keep your chin up!
cheers

I haven't had the tears... I'm still moody as hell. I thought it was the extra progesterone I was taking that was making me moody but now that they mood swings are still around... I'm wondering if it's just me.

I feel emotional too, and sometimes feel nobody is paying attention anymore, I am not taking anything but reading a lot about positive thinking, maybe some material of this kind might help you?

Hi Kim

I know exactly how you feel, I am now 6 weeks post op, and still have days where I either want to cry all day, or want to punch someone or something. It does get better though, so hang in there. My sister recommended I take Vitamin B tablets, which I did and they seem to help. Feel better soon :-)

Re: Emotional - is this normal? (Still have ovaries)

Getting out of bed my second week out, I noticed that my breasts were sore. I was also emotional all day, much more tired than the day before, and very bloated. That day was within few days of when my period normally would have been. I kept my ovaries, and think that they didn't shut down (even temporarily) with the surgery.

I felt much better the next day, which was also typical of me with PMS.

Re: Emotional - is this normal? (Still have ovaries)

I cried RIVERS for about the first two weeks, then it just stopped. I have been fine ever since. Sometimes I would cry over something real or perceived, but most of the time even I couldn't tell you what the heck I was crying about. It was quite disturbing, but it seemed to pass about week 3. Lately I've been dealing with insomnia, but even that is getting a little better the last few nights.
