hpv problems due to lack of estrogen???

My GP is very into natural alternatives. When I had VIN3 she put me on a vitamin regiem to strengthen my immune system. This is working well for me (so far...new biopsy results next week!) Talk to your doctor before trying anything. But here is what works for me:

Basic 4 Prevention 2 tabs 3x daily (Brand ov vitamin she suggested)
Folic acid 1mg 3 tabs 3x daily
Beta Carotene 25,000 i.u. 3 tabs 3 times daily
Acidophilus 2 tabs 3 times daily
Selenium 200mg 1 tab 2x daily
B-6 100mg 1 tab 2x daily
E 400 i.u. 1 tab 2x daily
Vitamin B-12 injection 1mg once weekly in the thigh muscle

Good luck

More on iron and vitamins

For those of you with CIN III, I posted a Q & A today that you might want to take a look at. This was from a list of questions that I took to my oncologist yesterday.

I also wanted to reply to this thread too because I asked about the iron and vitamins. My doc said she hadn't heard anything about the iron feeding a virus (not to say that it isn't true). One thing to keep in mind though, in my research of HPV, I did read that many women with dysplasia are anemic. So if you are or might be anemic and are taking an iron pill, check with your doc before stopping. You just don't want excessive iron.

Also, my doc said to make sure not to take more than 100 percent of your daily allowance of vitamin A. She did say why, but I didn't write it down and have forgotten. Other than that, she said to take a multi with 100 percent of A, E, and C.
