Thanks to all my Canadian sisters....
It is an immense comfort to know that you have welcomed our hundreds of US aircraft and people and that your government has been willing to extend such hospitality to us at this terrible time. I know that it puts your country in a precarious position to assist us.
Your government had no way of knowing if those aircraft contained bombs or dangerous persons. How brave our neighbors to the north are!
You are now feeding and assisting thousands of Americans. My heartfelt thanks.
The Canadian people are so wonderful! Our best friends in the deepest sense of that phrase.
Thank you is not nearly the words to describe my gratitude.

Thanks to all my Canadian sisters....
God Bless all of you....Sadly it is in times of disaster that we really join forces. I'm glad we are so close together (geographically and politically).
From what I've been able to gather from our local news...Toronto officials are sending specialists (dr's) paramedics, and other emergency personal to aid in this horrific disaster.
There are line-ups at the blood banks, something I have never witnessed in my life. We are family...through history we can see that.
My heart is aching for my sisters and brothers to the south...

Thanks to all my Canadian sisters....
Hugs to you all!!
Nova Scotia had a major explosion on our waterfront in Dec. of 1918 when 2 tankers collided in the harbour, and we lost 2000 citizens. Boston sent troops, supplies, money and medical personal to our aid.
Every year as a thank you since that time Nova Scotia has given Boston the huge Christmas Tree that they have in their city each Christmas.
3 years ago during the terrible tragedy of Swiss Air Flight 111 off our coast, again the Eastern States offered anything they could to help us.
Those are just 2 stories, and I am sure there are so many more like that. We look our for each other as good neighbours should.
Today we have 7500 passengers here from planes diverted to Canada destined for the US. The passengers are being well looked after and put up in sports complexes, schools made into shelters, as well as the homes of ciitzens. There are 4 hours waits to donate blood at our Red Cross.
The sadness of all of this is so overwhelming, I can't imagine having a loved one missing at this time. Like Judy, my heart aches for you all.
xoxo
