Day 4 Post TVH- Bright Red Stretch Marks Rash?

I just looked at myself in the mirror and I have a rash? or new stretch marks that are bright red. How could these have formed practically overnight?
Could this be from the Doctor manipulating my belly during surgery somehow? I have never seen a red stretch mark. I have a few from pregnancy which are faint purple or flesh colored, but these marks are almost raised like clusters of hives but in the pattern or shape of stretch marks.
I hope they fade or go awat. they seem to be only on my right side. left side has a few normal stretch marks.
Just wondering if anyone else had these after a TVH.. I have no external incision.. hmmm?

Re: Day 4 Post TVH- Bright Red Stretch Marks Rash?

I would bet that is from the normal post-op swelling; sometimes they can be a little itchy. But if they are very itchy or they spread, they could be real hives! Of course if you have questions, do call your doctor.

Re: Day 4 Post TVH- Bright Red Stretch Marks Rash?

Hi, it could be from the stiches inside being tight. I had internal stiches and no external just steri stips because I am allergic to the skin glue. The adheasive from the skin glue actully gave me blisters this time so it could just be from the different adheasives
but if the marks are hot and keep getting bigger go to the er because it could also be an infection
