Re: nesting,,,,

My TAH/BOS is on the 30th too. I've also been cleaning, painting, hanging new curtains, etc. I guess I feel like if I'm going to be stuck in the house for a while, I want it to be clean and decorated well.

Re: nesting,,,,

I've been doing the same thing. Major cleaning, re-organizing, getting rid of excess stuff! Even some painting and redecorating! I'm thinking also that since I'm going to spend alot of time recooperating, it may as well be in a pleasant environment!
Best wishes to you!

Re: nesting,,,,

whew- glad i'm not the only one. I haven't had this much energy since this all started. must be psychological or nervous energy. i haven't gone so far as to decorate tho. lol. at least i won't have to do alot of the deep cleaning stuff before the holidays right after i'm done recuperating.

Re: nesting,,,,

i've been killing myself cleaning... pushing through the pain even to do it... but i figure if i don't get it done now it's going to annoy me when i'm laid up... so if i do a thorough cleaning now i'll be able to rest and heal wiht little urge to get up and clean something i've already cleaned... plus it is getting rid of my nervous energy which seems to be building each day... i might explode by the time monday morning rolls around

good luck ladies!

Re: nesting,,,,

Hi ladies, I have already had my surgery, and I did the nesting bit. Washed walls, painted rec room, kids bedrooms, hallway. Now I am so glad. Anything else I want done can wait. I also planted my grape plants, the day before surgery I think.
Now, I get up and wish my kids would clean up after themselves before school. I end up cleaning up after them. So, warn your family ahead of time, not to leave ANY mess, because you will feel obligated to clean it up. Give them a guilt trip if you have to. You shouldn't have to, but I do. My DH has been doing pretty much everything.

Re: nesting,,,,

Me too!! I have gone through closets, cupboards, son's room, master bedroom and it just feels like I need to do more before surgery. I have been cooking like crazy and freezing stuff, today I made about 10 dozen perogies (easy to cook for hubby and kids). It also helps to take my mind off of NOT being able to cook/clean etc for so long after.

Re: nesting,,,,

Funny: I just had a garage sale today to clean out some stuff before surgery. (thought it was just me) It really has helped to keep my mind off the upcoming surgery & has kept me active.
I will definately need a rest after this!!
