Very Personal But I Have to ask

I had a TAH and oopectomy and thermo ablation of endo which involved my bowel.

I am having allot of pain in my stomach, the pain appears to be bowel related. Whenever I have a bm I feel like I am going to scream or pass out. I have been writing this off to the incision and the trauma the bowel has been through.

I tried reaching my Gyno but of course I was to late in calling and he has left the office.

Could you tell me if you had similiar pain and when did it get better.

Your input as always will be appreciated.

Very Personal But I Have to ask

Linda,

This kind of pain, for what you've been through with endo on your bowels, could be normal, BUT...with that much severity, you really should touch base with your Dr. If he has left the office, then have him paged through his exchange. That is what he's paid big $$$ for!

When you're trying to "go", make sure to have a cool, wet wash cloth for your face. Are you still on stool softeners? I was for a good 4 weeks, and they helped a lot. Start with the maximum dose and taper off as you're able to, if your Dr. says it's OK. Also, try using a heating pad, and make sure you're resting OFF your feet as much as possible to speed healing aside from your moderate walking.

Your intestines have really been through the mill...they get moved around a lot during surgery, and yours (in addition to that) got the heat treatment of ablation. It could take awhile for them to settle down.

I hope you'll be feeling better soon!

My very best to you...
