pathology shows endometriosis

I had Adenomyosis after my ablation. Dr told me I had to have Hyster in March. I got my medical records and on the pathology report it has endometrois on ovaries and fallopian tubes. My docotr never had a six we check up with me or went over my charts. i had a vaginal fistula at 3 ws post op and stated seeing a Uro. She has not called me or anything(kinda feel dropped) It scared me to see that endomertosis. I had every thing removed and I am not on any kinda of Hormone. I am so lost and I just dont want anymore issues after all the cmplicatins I been through. I was just considering using HRT

I am sorry that you have found out you have endometriosis. But you have come to a great place for information!

HRT is a bit complicated for those with endometriosis. Not all doctors have the same opinions on the topic so it might be helpful to talk to a few knowledgeable doctors to determine what is best for you.

While any estrogen replacement can stimulate any remaining endo, estrogen can also be very beneficial for one's overall health. Thus, the pros have to weighed against the cons! Some doctors suggest using some type of progesterone or progestin along with any estrogen as the progesterone/progestin can help keep any endo at bay.

I would suggest learning what you can about hormones and endometriosis and then sit down and talk to a doctor. If your relationship with your current doctor is not the best, look for a new doctor who primarily treats women with menopause issues. Or, check to see if there is any type of endo specialists in your area. If you have a good primary care physician, you can go back to him/her for advice and referrals.

We do have an extensive Resource Database here on the site so you can start looking for information there! Be sure to keep paper and pencil handy to keep a list of all of your questions and concerns!
