Re: dr appointment

I guess I have the opinion if my doctor says I need to comeback at 3 months post-op I would. He is the expert. I have been really questioning if I should have had this surgery or not and I had a friend that told me that he is the expert and he has my best interest in me.

Allie, this comment makes me laugh so hard. I have been regretting having my surgery for many reasons but when I am with my doctor (gyn/onc) I am in a completely different mood. I am in a great mood and feel no depression or thoughts when I am with him. I mean who would of ever thought you would love (strong word but you understand) a doctor who looks at your hoo hoo all the time. It just makes me laugh. I completely agree with you though, if he said I had to comeback once a month I would gladly pay my $30 and see him.

Re: dr appointment

I just went last Monday. So, that's 5.5 months. Yes. I still have pain and some issues and I need to still be followed. I'm seeing a lot of her staff for nutrition, hormones and pain. It's really been a long path.

Re: dr appointment

I had LSH 3/13/09. I've been to the gyno. 7x's this year, not including the surgery day. Five of those were post op. I still love my gyno even though she is a woman. I feel as though there is a question i need to ask her everyday !

Are you wondering if you still need your gynecologist?

I continue to see mine as with endometriosis, I have had some continued issues. Also, because of my background and the complications with my surgery, it made more sense for me to just see him for my yearly well woman exam.

At this point in time, I could switch to my general practitioner for the yearly exam if I wanted to.

The key is to have a doctor who can give you a good check up once a year. It will depend on your doctor and your specific situation as to what all your yearly exam may cover.
