Help...need tips

I smoke one in the morning and can go all day without cravings. When I get home late in the evenings is when they seem to come on. I smoke a cigarette that is special ordered. They have 80% less second hand smoke. They heat not burn so there are no ashes.
I just want to quit altogether. I don't want the patches or gum.
One day I can smoke three to five and others up to eight and I hate the guilt.
Any advise or tips are so very appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Help...need tips

i quit 68 days ago. I did use Chantix for 2 months but not for this last 2 weeks. 1 thing I had to do was change my routine. What was I doing when I craved...after supper...change your routine instead of having a smoke, start a new routine, umm...balance your checkbook. instead of a smoke, do something that will take your mind off it..solitaire...walk the dog...

I also didnt want to "replace" the cig with gum or patch but with changing the routine, and having chewing gum and dum-dum suckers (when in the car for me) it helped.

Chantix worked to but was expensive (my insurance did not cover) and i had some funky side effects but am glad it got me thru the first few weeks.
