Fistula repaired this morning!

I had my fistula repaired this morning!! I have a catheter for a wile, but the big news is that I am not leaking for the first time in months!!

My fistula is a vaginal one and it was located in the cervical cuff. It wasn't very big, but it was attached to the bladder close to the bottom of the bladder, hence the almost constant leaking.

I hope this stays fixed, because I am soooooo tired of dealing with doctors.

I am glad that everything went well for you. My surgery is January 6 and I know that I will enjoy not leaking!!

What typr of catheter do you have? Do you have much pain, mine will be vaginal also.

Keep us posted of how the next couple of weeks go.

Re: Fistula repaired this morning!

I have a foley catheter. Even though I find the catheter irritating, it is better than the constant leaking I have dealt with since the end of August.

I haven't had a lot of pain, just a little discomfort.

I hope your surgery goes well.
