Well after all this time the Dr. says POSSIBLE CIN2 and we will wait and see. Have to go back in March for another Colposcopy. I wish it was one way or another, and just get it over with.
So once more it is Hurry Up and Wait!

Hi Jo, my neighbour to the north!!

I can sure understand your wanting to know one way or the other what is going on. I don't understand why if its "possible CIN 2" they aren't checking into it further now, instead of making you wait another 6 months. I have to admit I don't know alot about CIN, but if its possibly there....can't they do other tests to see if its really there?

We have several ladies who have been through CIN here who I am sure will be along to share their experiences with you.

Have you thought about getting another doctor to take a look at the results Jo? It may be worth it, just so at least you get another opinion.
Keep us posted and post here anytime Jo. Theres a ton of support here for ya!!
Hugs,
Maria

A second opinion would probably be a good idea!! You must be very frustrated and it would probably help you out to have another professional opinion! Try to take care and instead of waiting this out, see if you can find another doctor.

It took me 6 months to get this far. We have a serious shortage of Doctor's in New brunswick. So in order to get another opinion it would still take 6 months. It is free but SLOW! As far as I know there are only 4 or 5 gynos working in my area which serves over 200.000 people.

Hi Jo,
March does seem a long time to wait but I am sure if the Dr thought that this needed treatment he would do it. Sometimes CIN2 can clear up by itself, so maybe that is why he is waiting. Why does he say ' possible ' CIN 2 ? If you are worried about , give the Dr a call and have another chat to him, it could ease the anxiety. It is such a shame that there is a shortage of Drs and a long wait to get treatment. Please dont forget we are here for you and any time you need support just holler . You take good care , love to you always x x

Considering that a second opinion is not easy for you, I would also have to suggest contacting your doctor. See if you can schedule a consultation with him. Have a list of questions for your doctor and let him explain things in more detail to you. I am sure that he would be more than willing to help you out. He may even call you and you can ask him questions over the phone. You really do need to talk to him so that he can ease your mind and let you know what you can expect.
