Having extreme bloating and left quad pain...I am pale as a ghost...was just an overnight after surgery as I think my doc wanted me home for xmas....but left with a really low blood count...feels like I will be bloated forever. Got Diarrhea, taking 800mg motrin and norco for pain..just didnt gt the memo on how hard this would be. Still on bed rest.

You are so not alone. Yeah I would have liked that memo about how hard it was gonna be. I love how doc say, "Oh you'll be up and about driving in about 2 weeks" big fat LAIR Just hang in there hun. You too will get through this. Eat some red meat, or if you dont do meat try eating anything high in iron until your levels are back up again but after that you dont want to eat to much iron cause well you have no way to loose it anymore, which is a good thing, right? Take your meds when you need them, drink lots of water, eat lots of little good for you meals, walk only as much as you think is ok. If you feel tired rest. Try to take a shower at least once a day that will make you feel better too. Maybe try the couch if you havent already, or maybe try your bed if you havent already. Read some books, watch some movies, chat to all these lovely ladies that are now your sisters, and take care or yourself I cant say this enough, You only have one chance to heal right so take it and do it right. I also had a LSH keeping both ovaries it took some time to start feeling somewhat normal again, I am 13 weeks out and still dont feel competely like old self yet, BUT I am getting there and so will you. We all take different amounts of time, so take as much as you need to heal. Hope you feel better soon, take care hun

Re: LSH on 12/23-Bloating/pain

time is a great healer, i don't think any of us really know how painful it can be.your body will let you know when you have done too much just listen out for it and rest.good luck with your recovery.

Re: LSH on 12/23-Bloating/pain

I honestly didn't even really begin to feel better till after three weeks. I was in so much pain at times that I thought something was really wrong with me!

I am now four weeks out and did my first shift at work - 6 hours - and I have a bit of pain but nothing really, I don't even need painkillers... and then I don't have another shift till next Monday, which I am happy about!

Just take it REALLY easy!
