Help, anyone have any ideas?? Kinda scared!
I am almost 7 wks out, really no complications! Anyhow, I am 34 and I smoke, which I know can complicate things. Anyhow, yesterday, started having some pain in my foot, kinda where my arch is. I didn't think too much about it. Today, it is KILLING me! It's throbbing and going up my leg! Kinda pulsating! I wouldn't think this far along that a blood clot would be even a factor. And not that I think that is what it is, just the risk is kinda scary. My leg feels really heavy and kinda tingly, but the tingly is not like asleep feeling, but def noticable. My foot feels like I stepped on something and bruised it, but I haven't stepped on anything. Anyone, have any ideas? Thanks for reading!

Hi! I'd see your family doc. about it. I don't know what a blood clot feels like. It sounds like it could be a lot of things. I've had a pain in the foot before that went up the leg because of nerve involvement, but still talk to your doc to be safe. It is odd that it came out of nowhere.
Keep us updated.
take care,

horseslover,
I don't know what it is but usually a blood clot would be more in your calf area and lower leg instead of the arch of your foot. I would most definitely call your doctor to let them know. I would probably call them tonight and talk to whoever is on call. Having the pain travel and radiate up your leg is somewhat unusual so I would let them know. Best of luck and hopefully it is something very minor. Sending lots of hugs.

Thanks! I just got finished soaking in salt water......NO relief! I have an appt in the morn, 9.30am, kinda glad. It is pretty intense, and like you all sd, to have came out from no where. Thanks for you all responses. I'll let you all know. I love my doc, but he seems to "not sweat the small stuff", know what I mean?? I don't consider it small, if I can't walk on it

It sounds like you strained your arch. Sometimes at night you can get a night cramp (calf cramp) and it will make you bring your toes up. The muscles in the bottom of your foot (arch) are part of your achilles tendon which is made up of your calf muscle. Sometimes rolling a bottle on the bottom of your feel can help relieve some of the tightness/pain in the arch area.

I had the same feeling in my left leg after surgery like week two or three and it turned out to be nothing and eventually went away.

Glad you got yours taken care of, it can really get bad. Thanks for all your replies, not any better today, so far, been up for a bit now. I hope you all have a great day today!

Maybe you pinched a nerve? Perhaps ask your doctor if he/she thinks it would be safe for you to have a massage? You can do a 15 minute massages inexpensively and that might tell you right away if it seems to help or not and maybe help you determine what treatment to pursue if you're not getting any relief currently. If nothing else, a foot massage is rarely a bad thing.
