Going Active Duty for a week, wish me luck!

Hey Ladies,

I'm an Air Force reservist and they requested everyone that can help to come active duty to support the crisis in Haiti. I jumped at the chance. It's only for a week or two and I most likely will not actually go there, just support the Air Crew suppliers from local AFB in the way of technology/communications.

My office knows I had my surgery and I told them as long as I don't have to run or no heavy lifting I'll be there this weekend. I'm 4 1/2 weeks post op been back to driving in to work 40 miles one way, office job for the last week. Had telecommuted two weeks before that.

I hope I can handle my suitcase, etc and don't have any issues while I'm gone. My base is 3 1/2 hours from home, doc and hubby! I'm not afraid just cautious and everyone is so used to me being "superwoman" but right now I feel more like "polly pocket" or "olive oil" hee hee...anyway wish me luck that I am of service and help and continue to heal as expected!!!

I applaud you and thank you for your willingess to serve in this way. Bless you! I'm assuming your dr has ok'd this so I'm not going to give you a lecture. Just be careful and I hope you can stop and rest along the way if something proves to be too much.
