4 Weeks post op - new pain

I had a TAH/BSO on 3 January for ovarian cysts and infected uterus (caused by IUCD). Recovery has been smooth and uncomplicated with little pain.

However, today I have a stabbing pain in the left side of my groin, which can at times take my breath away (ironically, in the same place I had pain when admitted to hospital - but that was caused by my cysts and they've obviously gone now!!). My waterworks seem to be fine, no frequency or burning, and really don't think this is a UTI.

Anyone else had this? Is this normal for 4 weeks post op? Should I call out of hours doc or would it be better to try to wait for routine appointment at surgery tomorrow?

Re: 4 Weeks post op - new pain

If it is not to bad I would just wait to ask at your appointment tomorrow. Does Motrin or pain med s help the pain? I would try that before calling doc. Though you know your body best, so do what is best for you. I hope you feel better soon.
