In shock...given date already..

Hi everyone, am in a bit of shock. Just one week after seeing my consultant on the 19th March for the first time and agreeing to an LSH, I have already been given my operation date. I am due to have my operation 14th May with my pre op 21st April. WOW...this is so quick as I was told that I would have to wait 3-4 months. I feel that I am so lucky that hopefully all this pain will soon be over. Off now to get my feet back on the ground....take care all..Dee xx

Re: In shock...given date already..

Hi Dee, I'm having LSH for adenomyosis too. I was offered an earlier date but couldn't take it because of some work-related commitments. An earlier date means less worrying and it will be over before you know it! I have two more periods to go. Take care!

Re: In shock...given date already..

Hi Lou.....the way I'm going it will be one long constant period. Bled for a whole month last time until the doc intervened and prescribed meds. Have now had to come off them due to side effects so bleeding here we come. Never mind.....not long now x

Re: In shock...given date already..

Be glad you don't have to wait too too long for the surgery...the waiting is the worst part (well at least that's how it feels at the moment).

Re: In shock...given date already..

Hi deegee1!

That is SUCH great news for you! I am having an LSH on May 11th, with my preop on April 19th, so our timing is all pretty close!

I found out three weeks ago, so admittedly my intitial "glow" has waned abit and I just want it to be here NOW, but it's still soooo much better having that date than when you are still "waiting to wait"

Hang in there for the final six weeks....then life gets better for us all!

Re: In shock...given date already..

I am happy that you have your date. I had too much time to wait for my surgery and thus too much time to worry about it. I finally get pre-admitted tomorrow with surgery on Wednesday. Hang in there!
