back pain, neck pain upper arm pain

had my SAH on 3/17 started 11 days after with back, neck and now upper arm pain. surgeon said it's not related. went to family doc who said it's due to tight muscles possibly bad posture or favoring my abdomen. gave me motrin and muscle relaxer at night. is this because as the day goes on my stomach gets so swollen. aside from the abdominal binder are there others things I can do to decrease swelling in my abdomen? Thanks in advanace.

over the counter anti-inflammatories - like advil/motrin or aleve - will help some, just be careful about mixing drugs if you are still taking the rx pain meds - check with your doc if you have questions or concerns about that. cold packs can also help, but the only thing that will take it completely away is time.

I found that i had some back pain too because i was sitting differently than normal - had to make a concious effort to correct my posture! getting better at it but still catch myself sometimes.
