3 weeks post op / strep?! (kids mentioned)

Here I thought I was doing so well. 3 weeks post op and aside from a nap every couple of days I am feeling awesome! Then my 4 yr old tells me her throat hurts. I let daddy do most of the work, honest ... but 5 days later I had a sore throat. No biggie. By day 3 I wanted to die it hurt so bad. With my weakened immune system and fatigued body I took a tiny sore throat and developed full on Strep Throat. BLAH! I'm on day 5 of the throat and day 2 of my antibiotics. My daughters strep test was negative. Just a standard sore throat / cold.

Let this be a reminder that even though we THINK we feel great, our bodies are still healing on the inside and we are still weak.

You're right, Minneisoda! It is amazing how long the process does actually take.

Update: 14 days of Strep Throat. Headed back to the DR to see what in the world is wrong with me. =(
