Cat - Scan results

Hi Ladies,
Well I got the cat scan results yesterday, and they didn't find anything. They were looking for an irritated appendix or a hernia. To update all of you I am 6 weeks post op today, and had a 8 day stay at the castle due to a step infection, then when I got home I had a colon infection from all the antibiotics from the strep. I had diarrhea for 3 weeks when I got home, and it still is continuing with constipation, diarrhea and fevers still!!!. He is sending me to a gastronologist on Friday. He feels is something to do with my colon!!!! I have had a pain on the right since surgery and it is still there!!! My darling thinks there is a possibility it could be scar tissue from my previous c-sections, so therefore I am to take it easy for another 2weeks!!!!!! : I really don't know how much more of this I can take!!!! To top it off my doctor thinks they will have to do a colonoscopy to determine what is going on. Like I really need the other end being check out now!!!!! Has anyone had anything like this? I am wondering if my doctor is just sending me to the gastro guy because he doesn't know what is wrong. When I drive the pain gets worse therefore he told me to drive the minimal until we find out. Please girls I would really appreciate some feedback. Don't know what direction I am headed in. Love to all and I hope days are ahead!!!!!!

Hang in there, sis.
I am guessing that your doctor is sending you to a specialist to make sure you get your troubles erased as best as is possible. I know it is hard (not a strong enough word) to take more poking and proding, on top of extra time out of sorts, but it looks like that's what was handed to you. (BIG HUG) Take it easy on yourself. If you put yourself in situations where you are in more pain (ie driving) you are not helping yourself to recover. That long a period of either diarrhea or nausea alone would put a huge strain on your body. I am so sorry you got the bonus bummer plan! Baby yourself. Ask for help from everyone you know. You are not being a wimp; you are taking care of your needs, just like you take care of others'.
Please let us know how you are doing.
May your doctors be blessed with swift and accurate insight,

Hi rie, I think it is a good thing that your doctor wants you to see a specialist in the area where he feels your problem might be. It is good to have all the possibilities checked out. I know it is frustrating, but try to be a good princess and rest. Soon you will be on the road to recovery and all of this will be behind you. Take care!

Sorry you've had such a time of it! I think this new doc will help you out.
The ususal gut infections after antibiotics are caused by a germ "C-diff". It's sometimes a stinker to get rid of. Be sure to eat lots of yoghurt with live culture to help replant the good bugs in your intestine and not let this C-diff guy take over! If you can't eat yoghurt it comes in capsules as mega-acidophilus at thealth food stores.
