Very funny! I think the hardest part of this whole surgery is having to clutch your belly to laugh! =)

That reminded me of my gallbladder surgery where I woke up and asked for my XHusband....... That wasn't too funny!

I am only 5 days post op so still very very sore, I had to grab a pillow to clutch against my stomach so I wouldn't hurt so bad when I laughed!! that is hilarious.

What a hoot!! Bet the look on Larry's face was priceless!! LOL!! Good thing your hubby has a good sense of humor. Of course, he won't let you live this one down!! You'll be hearing about Larry forever!!

Picture this ~~ you're at a party with DH and the hostess introduces you to a guest, "I'd like you to meet Larry!" And your hubby yells, "So YOU'RE Larry!!!!"

I'm wondering if you heard someone say that name right before you went under and the last thing you heard was the first thing coming out of your mouth!

Thanks for the laughs!

I had that same thought... otherwise, what are the odds of a Larry being in the same post-surgical area to be able to be called in?

Or else, maybe it was your dearest love in a previous life??

Guess there's one advantage to them not being able to get me awake in recovery. If I couldn't talk I didn't have to worry about saying something I shouldn't have . It was almost 9 hrs post op before I woke up and was coherent. Sure was a nice pain free nap.

I had a good nap this time too. One time I woke up singing opera - about PIZZA! Trust me, I have no business singing, let alone singing opera!

That's so funny. What's more funny, is that there was actually someone named Larry there!! I'd also guess his name crept into your subconscious somehow - maybe like my pizza operaetta?!

I love this! Larry! You should get a tat. LOL When I had emergency surgery 7 years ago I woke up and my parents and dh were all there. I was trying to tell them something and it took all I had to say it. I finally pulled off my oxygen mask and said, "I smell plastic and Stetson". My dad wears Stetson and the mask must have smelled like new plastic. Anyway it took about 10 minutes to get it out. LOL
